Carissa Wengrovius, PT, DPT
Carissa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2005. While studying Child, Family, and School Psychology at the University of Denver, she found her passion for pediatric physical therapy and went on to pursue her doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University. She has worked in multiple pediatric settings including in-home early intervention, school-based, and outpatient private practice. Carissa has experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions in children of all ages. She has also completed children’s yoga training and offers yoga classes for kids of all abilities at the KidSPOT clinic, and commonly uses therapeutic yoga techniques in her physical therapy practice. Carissa is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and enjoys her leadership role for the Colorado Chapter’s Pediatric Special Interest Group. Outside of the clinic, she can be found exploring the Colorado outdoors, practicing yoga, gardening, and eating sushi with her husband.
