Mia McCloy, OTR
Mia earned her degree in occupational therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2001. Throughout college she worked for the Wisconsin Early Autism Project providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Soon after graduation she began working in an outpatient pediatric clinic in northern Virginia, where she treated clients with a wide variety of diagnoses. Mia utilizes her knowledge of child development and sensory integration to treat children at all stages of growth and development. Mia is certified in SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) approach to feeding, Therapeutic Listening®, and Interactive Metronome® and has had training in a variety of other therapeutic tools. She enjoys working closely with families to develop manageable and appropriate treatment strategies to maximize the child’s potential. Mia is now happy to call Colorado home after having lived throughout the United States and abroad. She and her husband have two "sensational" sensory kids. Mia considers herself a grown-up sensory kid, and in her free time she can be found lifting and throwing heavy things around in her local CrossFit gym.
