Kristin Burrell, M.A., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Kristin is a pediatric speech-language pathologist with 20+ years of experience and specialization in early communication development and feeding. She earned her B.S. in Communication Disorders from Michigan State University and a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Michigan University.
In addition to her clinical work, Kristin serves as clinical faculty for the University of Colorado Boulder’s Master’s program in Speech-Language Pathology, supervising and mentoring graduate student clinicians - the best!
Her work is rooted in developmental, relationship-based framework influenced by her early DIR/Floortime immersive training. She integrates her additional training in Talk Tools, Hanen More Than Words, SCERTS, Kaufman Speech to Language, and PROMPT techniques.
Her clinical expertise includes supporting infants with early feeding and coordination challenges related to birth complications, NICU graduates, breastfeeding and latch concerns, oral-motor delays, and transitions to solids. She evaluates and treats the full spectrum of feeding differences - from typical picky eating to pediatric feeding disorder and ARFID - while helping families determine when intervention is warranted and how to proceed with confidence.
