Speech-Language Pathology
At KidSPOT, we recognize the vital role communication plays in a child’s academic, social, and emotional development. We are committed to creating positive, supportive therapy experiences that foster confidence and growth.
Our Speech-Language Pathologists partner closely with families and caregivers to ensure each child’s progress extends beyond therapy sessions. We provide practical strategies to support communication, oral-motor development, feeding skills, and meaningful social engagement in everyday life. When appropriate, our SLPs collaborate with other specialists to deliver a coordinated, team-based approach that supports the whole child.
Dyslexia Evaluation
KidSPOT is proud to offer dyslexia evaluations for children in kindergarten and beyond. Our speech-language pathology team provides a comprehensive assessment of your child’s language and literacy skills to determine whether dyslexia is present.
Your clinician will begin with a detailed parent interview and follow with a series of standardized assessments that compare your child’s skills to those of age-related peers. The evaluation takes approximately three hours and can be completed in one session or divided into two, depending on your child’s needs.
Following the assessment, a 30-minute consultation will be scheduled to review results, answer questions, and provide personalized recommendations and resources.
Please note that this evaluation is specific to dyslexia and does not include diagnostic testing for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or cognitive concerns.
