Does KidSPOT accept insurance?
KidSPOT accepts Kaiser, Tricare, CHP+ and Medicaid. We will help verify your insurance and explain likely benefits during the intake process. We are happy to provide superbills if you have out of network coverage and would like to submit directly to your insurance carrier.
Can KidSPOT help me determine which services my child needs?
Are parents allowed to watch therapy sessions?
What do I need to bring to the first appointment?
How do I let my therapist know I have arrived?
How long are therapy sessions?
What if my child is not able to complete the whole session?
How do I cancel a session?
Absolutely! We will send you a detailed intake form after you contact us or you can schedule a consultation prior to your evaluation to help select the most appropriate services based on your prioritized concerns.
Yes, families are welcome! Your therapist will help establish a therapy routine that is most supportive for your child and family.
Please make sure to have any relevant evaluations or records you would like to share. For physical therapy please wear comfortable clothing and running shoes.
We value the relationship between your family and therapist! Please wait in our gathering room until we bring you back to our therapy space.
Evaluations are scheduled for 55-60 minutes. Most follow-up sessions last between 50-55 minutes, unless otherwise specified by your provider . Therapists reserve the end of each session to provide feedback and strategies to families.
Our therapists are highly qualified to help children work through difficult activities and we welcome families to share helpful strategies as well. We’ll work with you to ensure sessions remain supportive, productive, and comfortable for your child.
Consistency is key for the highest therapeutic impact, however we understand that life happens! If you cannot attend a scheduled session, please let us know right away by emailing your provider or calling the clinic. We ask that all absences are communicated at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $40 late cancel/no show fee.
