Kristin Burrell, M.A., CCC-SLPKristin is originally from the Midwest, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Michigan State University and master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Western Michigan University. Before moving to Boulder County and joining KidSPOT, Kristin and her family called San Francisco home where she had a private practice and consulted in various clinic, home and school-based settings. In addition to being a practitioner, she has supervised graduate level students in their clinical fellowship year and co-authored a paper in the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research.Kristin is trained in and enjoys working with a broad range of communication disorders, she specializes in early language development. She was introduced to the DIR/Floortime model early in her professional career and it has shaped her understanding of developmental language model and how she adapts treatment to each student’s profile. She also integrates her professional training in Talk Tools, Hanen More Than Words, SCERTS, Kaufman Speech to Language, Spalding Literacy Program, and PROMPT to provide an individualized, developmentally-based intervention program for each child and their family. Making meaningful progress and staying motivated is paramount and that means having some fun too!

Kyra Naftel, M.A., CCC-SLPKyra grew up outside Los Angeles, California. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Amherst College and Master of Arts degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder. Kyra has practiced in a variety of settings, including a public elementary school and a pediatric outpatient hospital clinic. She enjoys working at KidSPOT because of the opportunities to establish authentic relationships with families, provide individualized services, and work on meaningful goals. Kyra is especially interested in functional communication, articulation, expressive and receptive language, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). In her free time, Kyra enjoys exercising, being outside, traveling, and spending time with friends and loved ones.

Stephanie Pipp, PT, DPTStephanie grew up in Pewaukee, Wisconsin and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She pursued her doctorate in Physical Therapy at Regis University. Stephanie is a member of the multidisciplinary evaluation team at Kaiser Permanente's Regional Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Clinic, as well as an affiliate faculty member at Regis University, teaching in the physical therapy department.
Stephanie has experience treating patients from birth to adulthood with a variety of diagnoses and conditions, in both home and clinical settings. She believes that building strong relationships are the foundation for successful therapy. When she's not at work, she's running after her two small children, riding bikes or playing tennis. |
Jessica Fuentes, PT, DPTJessica is a Colorado native and knew from a young age she wanted to be a pediatric physical therapist. Her studies include a BS in Exercise Science from Gonzaga University- GO ZAGS! She returned to Colorado to attend Regis University and received a doctorate in physical therapy. She is also a board certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist.
Jessica loves to analyze movement and create meaningful therapeutic programs for the children and families in her care. When Jessica founded KidSPOT, it was with the idea that children like to play and they thrive in environments that are nurturing and supportive. Jessica strives to ensure KidSPOT is a positive place for families. When Jessica is not at KidSPOT, she enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga, and being outdoors. |
Christine FuentesChristine is a proud Colorado native, and has recently retired from several careers over many years. She spent 20 years as a travel agent, worked as a parapro for Boulder Valley Public Schools for 10 years and most recently retired after spending 20 years managing the training department for a Boulder based software company. She has a strong accounting background and helps support the administrative team at KidSPOT. She has four grown children and three grandchildren, and spends most of her free time enjoying those grandchildren. When she is not working for KidSPOT or entertaining her grandchildren, she enjoys music and her piano lessons. She loves children, so coming out of retirement to work part-time with the KidSPOT staff and watch the growth of children at the clinic has been a perfect fit.

Nicole Morrison, PT, DPTNicole grew up in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011 from Northeastern University in Boston. Since then, Nicole worked at various hospitals in the Denver area. She is a Certified Clinical Instructor and is experienced in treating adolescents and adults post traumatic accidents, orthopedic surgeries and neurologic injuries. In her free time, Nicole enjoys trying new foods, traveling and spending time with her husband and two young children. She loves Colorado and is excited to call it her home!
