Does KidSPOT accept insurance? Yes and No. KidSPOT is currently contracted with and accepts Kaiser, Tricare and Health First Colorado (Medicaid). As part of the intake process, KidSPOT will help verify your insurance and explain likely benefits. If you have any out of network coverage and would like to submit directly to the insurance carrier, we will provide a superbill for all services.
Does KidSPOT provide home visits? KidSPOT therapists provide home based visits for clients enrolled in early intervention. KidSPOT is contracted with Boulder County (Imagine!) to provide Early Intervention services. Are parents allowed to sit in on therapy sessions? Yes, families are welcome. Your therapist will help establish the therapy routine that is most supportive for your child and family. My child has his/her first appointment today. What do I need to bring with me? Please make sure to have any relevant evaluations or records you would like to share. Also, for Physical Therapy please wear attire that allows movement.
How do I let my therapist know that I am here? At KidSPOT we value the relationship between the family and the therapist! Your child’s therapist will meet you in the our gathering room.
How long are therapy sessions? Most sessions are scheduled to be 45-50min. Therapists reserve the end of each session to provide feedback and strategies to families.
What happens if my child has a meltdown during a session? All therapists at KidSPOT are highly qualified to help children work through difficult activities. We rely on families to share helpful strategies as well.
What happens if I need to cancel a session? KidSPOT values consistency for the highest therapeutic impact. Once you are aware you can not make a scheduled session, please let us know right away. We ask that all absences are communicated at least 24 hours in advance. A $20 per session fee will be charged for late cancels and unreported absences.
